Arsene Wenger bought us all the latest team news this morning, so that we can tell you two hours later what you already know.

Basically, there is actually pots of good news for a change, with Theo returning, along with Per Mertesacker and they have even managed to give Mathieu Debuchy a quick MOT and service before he’s sold back to somewhere in France next week.

Per Mertesacker has been out since pre-season, and Debuchy has had a hamstring injury after a very short comeback against Bournemouth at The Emirates in November but both are back in full training this week. Santi Cazorla remains our only major absentee, the player originally expected back around now, but there seems to be no more news following a rumoured second operation on his ankle injury.

Le Boss also announced he won’t be playing a weakened side in the clash which comes after Southampton won at Anfield to secure their place in the League Cup final.

However, it’s expected there will be a few changes to the starting XI with another crucial league game on Tuesday at home against Watford, then a HUGE game next weekend against league leaders Chelsea.
