Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has had a quiet January so far as far as transfers go, with just the Jon Toral, Gedion Zelalem and Daniel Crowley loans, and the signing of Cohen Bramall.

However, if the rumours are to be believed, he is still trying to bring players to The Emirates this window, with the French manager eyeing a top Ligue 1 star, according to reports in the media, with a report in The Sun claiming that we have now moved to sign Olympique Lyonnais star Corentin Tolisso.

Arsenal are apparently interested in finalising a deal for the 22-year-old midfielder during this window due to losing Granit Xhaka who is set to be banned for four matches after his soft red card against Burnley. Also, with Santi Cazorla showing no signs of a return, our midfield is looking stretched once again.

It is widely believed that Wenger needs to win the heart of French player but I don’t personally think convincing Tolisso to Arsenal will be hard for Wenger.

It’s thought that Juventus made an recent offer worth around £35 million for the ace but unfortunately for the Serie A giants, a deal was never concluded. It’s also thought that Chelsea are interested in signing the player, so let’s see what happens, but with just a week left of this window, and nothing going on, it looks like there will be no one coming in as we try to overhaul Chelsea’s massive lead at the top of the Premier League.
