There some reports in the media claiming that England’s favourite sixth place team; Manchester United are interested in completing deal for French international striker Antoine Griezmann next summer transfer window after it was announced that Griezmann’s club, Atletico Madrid, are already eyeing Chelsea’s Diego Costa as a perfect replacement for the ace.

The 25-year-old star has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford after seeing his national team mate Paul Pogba joining the Red Devils for a mouth-watering amount.

Now, it looks like the Jose Mourinho wants to get his chequebook out (Zzzz for a change) to reinforcement his team by spending huge (again) and bringing  in prolific and already proven players to Old Trafford, having already secured the signature of Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic.

A report in The Independent confirms that United are willing to pay as much as £100million to complete a deal for the France international at the end of this season.

Arsenal were also heavily linked to a move for Griezmann during the last summer transfer window but Wenger failed to push ahead with any deal, and he remained with Atletico, Wenger choosing to move for Lucas Perez instead. With the return of Danny Welbeck, and our other in form players, Arsene Wenger isn’t short of a striker any more, so a move for Griezmann would be off the cards, you’d think at least.

However, I personally think United signing Griezmann will be of great benefit to them, as his pace and quality scoring finishing will boost their hope of winning another league title.

The French international has managed to grab 7 goals in 17 appearances so far this season.
