There is no doubt that Arsenal currently have one of the best forwards in the Premier League this season with Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez playing so well for Arsenal in recent weeks.
With injuries to Welbeck, we were not the same force with Giroud or Theo up front and thanks to Arsene Wenger’s masterstroke of moving Sanchez into the middle, we have reaped the benefits lately and now not only welcome back Welbeck, but we also have the in form Lucas Perez available.
However, Wenger is still looking like he wants more options up front, as a report in the media claims that Arsenal are showing interest in signing Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The news outlet further reported that the 23-year-old ace has a release clause of around £85 million on his contract and Arsenal are willing to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for his signature.
I personally think Ferreira will have a great impact on Arsenal’s squad as his pace, clever movement, brilliant technique and better-quality finishing would make him the perfect foil for Ozil’s vision in the final third.
The ace’s release clause looks like it could be a stumbling block to any deal, but perhaps Arsene Wenger is already preparing for a life without Alexis Sanchez?
