Despite having lots of experience in his midfield, manager Arsene Wenger still remains interested in bolstering his options, and apparently Miralem Pjanic is on his shopping list as a long-term replacement for Santi Cazorla, who remains sidelined.

A report in The Sun claims that Wenger has taken the first step in signing the ace and has already spoken to the 26-year-old over a possible move to The Emirates. Pjanic apparently responded positively and he said he is looking to secure an agreement to secure a move to join Arsenal.

The former Roma player is a versatile midfield option, and his pace, clever movement and brilliant technique would no doubt be a welcome addition to our squad if the rumours are true. His recent performances have been impressive since he left Roma for Juventus last summer, he has featured in 20 matches and contributed 6 goals and 8 assists already.

However, the news outlet further reported that it is unlikely that he will join Arsenal this window, but Arsenal are prepared to wait and offer around £28 million to secure his signature in the summer.

Aston Villa are also said to be interested, so could it be Pjanic on the Streets of London, Pjanic on the Streets of Birmingham?
