Arsenal have not been in the best of form when we talk about the defensive midfield position with so many changes in the side until recently when manager Arsene Wenger went and spent the cash to bring in a couple of quality midfielders to The Emirates.
Arguably, England international midfielder Jack Wilshere also contributed to the issues with his injuries last season under Arsene Wenger, before his shock loan to AFC Bournemouth.
Wenger managed to secure the signature of Egyptian Mo Elneny, and Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka and then let Wilshere go on loan to go gain some first team experience, where he has been nothing short of brilliant at the South coast club, and has consistently played well, and got a lot of minutes under his belt.
Late November, a report in BBC confirmed that Arsenal will be offering the England international a new contract, and a new report from The Sun claim that Wenger is keen to tie him down at The Emirates this month, and a deal could be agreed as soon as this month.
Wilshere currently earns (Daily Mirror) £90,000-a-week and his contract with Arsenal will expire in 2018, so with all of the players now in our midfield, do you personally think it makes any sense to offer Wilshere a new deal, the new Mr. Arsenal, or has he missed his chance?
