It’s thought that Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil will miss our potential potato skin of a trip to Bournemouth this Tuesday night while Shkodran Mustafi could return to start the game.

Walcott has been missing over the Christmas fixtures, and Mesut Ozil was a late omission for the game against Palace on Sunday due to illness.

It’s thought the pair will be missing along with Keiran Gibbs, Mohamed Elneny who is now away of African Cup of Nations duty with Egypt. Long term absentees remain Mertesacker, Cazorla and Matt Debuchy.

Shkodran Mustafi should return to the first team after missing the Palace game despite being fit enough for the bench, so our best centre back pairing should be reunited tonight.

It looks like better news for Danny Welbeck who is back in training, but being eased gently back by Arsene Wenger.

With Perez, Giroud and Alexis Sanchez all fit and firing, there seems little point in rushing back the Englishman after such a long time out.

AW said himself he may play him in the U23s before bringing him back to first team action.

It’s also rumoured that Chuba Akpom is back in training after a lengthy lay off.

Tough game tonight, but Bournemouth will be missing Jack Wilshere who is ineligible to play against his parent club due to the terms of his loan so fingers crossed we can continue our winning run after our recent derailment on the road against Everton and City.
