As we prepare to finish our Champions league group stages on a high, there’s some positive injury news to keep us going.
Hector Bellerin was training yesterday, along with Olivier Giroud, Per Mertesacker and Chuba Akpom, Santi Cazorla should have his ankle surgery soon and as is looking at a return in February/March. Olivier Giroud is expected to feature in tonights game in Switzerland after missing the West Ham victory.
Per is keen to get back to the first team squad, and is aiming for a return in the new year, the BFG said:
“I’m hopeful that I can join the team properly and be available to the team next year, that’s my resolution. I’m able to run now, painless, and it’s what it’s all about. When you are able to run again after such a long time it makes you feel happy…”
Mertesacker was injured in pre-season and had surgery on the knee problem in the summer and has been out ever since.

Crowley Sent Home…
Daniel Crowley has had his loan spell terminated at Oxford United. Despite being Oxford’s best player all season, the youngster seems to have fallen out of favour with the manager and backroom staff who have said he has ‘off the pitch’ problems to sort out…
