Arsenal’s five star display against Premier League side West Ham was brilliant on Saturday tea time and the game ended in a 5-1 rout. It was the same scoreline as Newcastle had beaten Tottenham on the final day of last season – not relevant, but worth a mention.
The man of the match had to be Alexis Sanchez, as he helped himself to a scintillating hat trick, his performance against the Hammers triggered Arsenal fans to take to Twitter to post about what they’d seen.
England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a great goal, and also played well, something his confidence was definitely in need of. Though, despite his positive display I still wasn’t too pleased with his performance and I person think Arsene Wenger needs to bring in an elite attacker when the window opens to replace The Ox and Theo Walcott.
Former Barcelona star Sanchez is undoubtedly Arsenal’s best player this season but his last goal in the game showed that he is ready to enter the list of the best players in Europe today.
