With the shocking news that Santi Cazorla is now out for three months, it’s clear we are embarking our on our usual injury crisis.

Cazorla is out, along with Welbeck, Mertesacker, Debuchy and Olivier Giroud is also a doubt for this weekend’s banana skin of a game at West Ham. It’s also thought Mo Elneny will miss the game due to sickness, the Egyptian was ill before the Southampton defeat.

Mathieu Debuchy has been ruled out with a ‘severe injury’ for several weeks after his 16 minute cameo last week, poor fella.

Olivier Giroud faces a late fitness test to see if he will be able to feature, probably from the bench, while Carl Jenkinson may return to face the club where he spent time on loan, though Wenger could keep the faith in Gabriel at right back for the clash.

Arsene Wenger has admitted this week that Welbeck is back in training but some weeks away from first team action, so fingers crossed he’ll be back after Christmas along with Debuchy and possibly Mertesacker.
