Talismanic midfield maestro Santi Cazorla is OUT for three months, with the ankle injury he picked up in the closing stages of the Ludogorets game.

It’s been announced that he will go to Sweden for surgery on his inflamed ankle, and Arsene Wenger has ruled the Spaniard out for at least two months.

Before you start, Wenger has also ruled out signing a replacement in January, saying that: “You couldn’t find another Cazorla even if you wanted to…”

It was thought there was a chance that his inflammation would subside, but it hasn’t cleared up and surgery seems to be the only solution despite the best efforts of the medical team.

Wenger said:

“For me it is very bad news, he’s out for at least two months, but that could go up to three. You have the date for surgery, but not the date for his return…”

“Santi is desperate to play, he’s only happy on the football pitch…”

Get well soon Santi, insert crying face emoji here.

Our record without Santi speaks for itself, we have struggled to win since he was injured, so fingers crossed AW can turn things around, starting this weekend with our visit to West Ham.
