With Liverpool striker Danny Ings injured and former Southampton striker Sadio Mane set to leave Anfield Stadium for the upcoming Africa Nations Cup which starts next month, the Liverpool manager is apparently  now keeping a close eye on the transfer market and could move for Arsenal target Moussa Dembele, if these reports are to be believed.

In a report from The Mirror they claim that Liverpool are considering a move for Dembele, and reports in Glasgow Live claim The Reds are willing to offer £10m up front and another £10m to make sure they secure the ace ahead of other interested clubs.

Liverpool manager Klopp has sent out the club’s scouts to watch Dembele on five different occasions and has received good reports, with Dembele already scoring 17 goals since he join Celtic last season, they also reckon Liverpool are set to offer him £60k-a-week to secure his signature.

It’s understood that Celtic are not interested in selling because the player is currently happy with the club, but it looks like Liverpool are currently in the driving seat after North London giants Arsenal, along with North Londoners Spurs both already having had offers rejected.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed the striker will remain with Celtic until the end of the season, so we’ll have to see what happens. Perhaps Wenger could yet go back for the player if he thinks he fits the bill over the next few months.
