Two great goals from Alexis Sanchez and a rare header from Theo Walcott was enough to take all three points in an entertaining game at The Emirates.
Mathieu Debuchy had a rare start for Arsenal but was cursing his injury luck again, as he was forced off to be replaced by Gabriel at right back.
We had gone ahead after a defensive mix up, ended in Sanchez slotted home, before a rather dubious penalty was despatched by Callum Wilson to make it 1-1 at the break.
Our consistent pressure in the second half saw a resilient Bournemouth finally buckle for us to take all three points, and lay to rest the November Scooby Doo mystery hoodoo.
Sadly Jack Wilshere couldn’t play against his ‘parent’ club, but Benik Afobe could have equalised in the second half, shooting straight and Cech who saved well with his legs.
Alexis Sanchez was voted Man of the Match again, Granit Xhaka and Kos the Boss also played well.
The win sees us back in touch with the leaders, and just three points off of the top of the league, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City all winning, while Spurs lost. Again. This defeat comes off the back of their Champions League elimination in the week.
Our next game is in the League Cup against Southampton on Wednesday, then we travel to The London Stadium next Saturday evening for what should be a cracking game against West Ham, then it’s our final Champions League game against Basel in Switzerland before we entertain our favourites, Stoke at The Emirates the week after.
