According to a report in The Sun claim, Arsenal have received a massive boost regarding the return of Hector Bellerin.
Bellerin has been out since injuring his foot during the last 10 seconds of the game against Spurs, and the report claims the Spaniard will be back in training next week.
It was thought that he would be out for another couple of weeks and back mid-December, but it looks like he’ll be back early.
Just few days ago, Bellerin signed a contract extension that will see him stay at The Emirates for another six and a half years, and a decent pay rise to around £100k a week.
Over the recent months, we’ve had our fair share of injuries, with Santi Cazorla still out, along with Chuba Akpom, Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck, so this is a welcome piece of good news for Arsene Wenger, who said:
“Hector is out for four weeks. He got injured in the last ten seconds against Spurs after a very strong tackle by Danny Rose. It’s an ankle injury. It was a bad one. It’s annoying to lose Bellerin. Did Rose want to injure Bellerin? I don’t think so. He just went in for the tackle…”
In another piece of good news, striker Lucas Perez is also training again and could make his comeback on Wednesday.
Arsenal will be going head to head with Bournemouth at the Emirates on Sunday, and after three draws will be hoping to get back to winning ways, ahead of our tricky EFL match next week with Southampton.
