Pires Paves Way for Return?
The Sun today claim that Invincible, Robert Pires is trying to get a role at Arsenal as Sporting Director. Pires continues to work with Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, and his young son Theo is breaking through the ranks.
Pires still trains with the first team, so has his dreamy feet well and truly under the Arsenal table, and when pressed on his plans, he replied:
“I need to talk about it with the owners and Arsene Wenger. I’d love this job, I love to talk with the players. If I’m given this job one day, I can stay in contact with football, especially with Arsenal…”
Giroud Feeling Left Out…
Olivier Giroud has put out an Eric Cantona sardine style message to the press about his patchy start to the season, hampered by his mysterious toe injury.
OG said:
“When I look from the stands at Arsenal, a team that plays well and made a very good start to the season, it seems my train leaves without me and I must not get too far behind…”
Giroud is now off on international duty with France, despite not playing very much this season but he’d be hoping to return after the break to face Manchester United.
The game is sure to be billed as Mourinho v Wenger, but with Ibrahimovic, Bailly and Valencia all missing for United, and players hopefully coming back for us, could this be the time Oli and Co. finally get one over on Mourinho on Le Bosses’ behalf?7
Les Fingres Crossed as they say.
