Despite the signing of Lucas Perez in the recently closed transfer window, manager Arsene Wenger is still on the look-out to sign more forward players according to several reports.

The next name on the never-ending list is AC Milan striker; M’Baye Niang who is now Wenger’s ‘prime target’, according to a report from Calcio Mercato Web via Mirror.

The news outlet further reported Wenger is on the verge of strengthening his attack further and is set to submit a bid for the Rossoneri hitman in January.

As with all made up stories in the media, however, we have to take this with a pinch of salt as a) the winter transfer window is not yet open and b) we have plenty of attacking options once our injured players are back, but the Mirror say that a deal worth €35million with the player is likely to be done next summer.

The Express have also reported last month that the ace confirmed he had a chance to join Arsenal in 2012 before he joined the Serie A giant. So far this season Niang has hit the back of the net 3 times and he has also provided 3 assists in the Italian league.

French international striker Olivier Giroud has been injured of late and seems to have fallen out of favour since the emergence of Alexis as an out and out striker, and perhaps Arsene Wenger is looking to replace him?

Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez has been in his best form of late and with the addition of Lucas Perez and the comeback of Danny Welbeck still to look forward to, this rumour looks to have very little substance, perhaps another pay rise attempt from his agent?
