With kick off just hours away, Arsene Wenger confirmed that he still not decided on his starting XI in Paris for this evening’s huge Champions League clash with Paris St. Germain.

It’s thought that Olivier Giroud may regain his place after being dropped for new signing Lucas Perez at the weekend, for the game against Southampton. Giroud came on as a sub and won our all-important penalty which lead to Cazorla’s winner in the 94th minute.

Arsenal’s 29-year-old dreamboat has not started a game yet this season as Wenger eases him back to league action after his efforts at Euro 16 this summer.

It’s thought with his better scoring record, Perez may start more and more, leaving Giroud to become a super sub, coming off the bench to win games. For tonight’s match, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Giroud, could however start up top in Paris, telling Squawka:

“I have not decided that, the players do not know the team. I have 24 hours. Is he ready to start? He is close…”

Personally, I feel Wenger should trust in Perez and bring Giroud off of the bench again today. This gives Giroud more rest, Perez more playing time to get into the swing of things and get used to the Arsenal style of football faster.
