Aaron Ramsey won’t be risked for the home game against Southampton this weekend. He pulled a hamstring in the game against Liverpool in August, and Arsene Wenger today said he’s not ready.

Alex iWobi has returned to the squad, injured in the same game, and Wenger also said that Alexis Sanchez is ‘uncertain’ to play after a late return from international duty.

We’ll be keen to see our new signings Shkodran Mustafi, and le Boss has said, it’s a decision he has to make whether or not they play.

Southampton will be looking for their first win of the season, so it should be a great game.

Arsene Wenger also said today that he still rates Jack Wilshere as world class, and he still has a future at Arsenal, despite his shock loan move to AFC Bournemouth at the end of this summer’s transfer window.

Wenger said:

“He wanted games and I can understand his desire. I felt it was a logical decision. Let’s not forget that last year he didn’t play, it’s important for him that he gets the number of games this season…”
