Lucas Perez family already sorted in North London – this will delight fans
As with all of our transfers, the acquisition of Lucas Perez has been long and drawn out, finally Arsene Wenger has confirmed the deal has been done, subject to some paperwork being finalised.
Le Boss confirmed after the 3-1 win at Watford that Perez and Mustafi will both join the club, and in a tongue in cheek claim, the Bleacher Report cheekily tweeted that the Spanish internationals’ family are already fully ensconced in North London.

No one knows what this is all about, and anything from Bleacher report, much like the octopus, needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Wenger is expected to play Perez ahead of Olivier Giroud up top after the French international has failed to convince as our main striking outlet, and Perez comes to Arsenal with impressive stats, netting 17 times in 36 appearances for Deportivo last season.
Personally, I think Perez will take some time to fully settle in London, but he has the potential to be the striker we need if we are challenge for the title, and he will be a perfect foil for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the final third.
The announcements of Perez and Mustafi are set to be announced formally over the next day or two (Tuesday afternoon, due to the UK Bank Holiday Monday, at a guess) and let’s hope both players settle quickly and help us to win some silverware.
