ArsenalShorts Thursday Slightly Cheery Positive Update

There’s some good news today, it’s another rumour, but this one has something about it. We’ve been linked with many names this summer, many, oh so many names, you’d almost be forgiven for thinking some of them were even made up.

Anyway, the latest hat in the ring, is that of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna. He ticks all the boxes for Arsene Wenger, he’s not that expensive (£20m RC), basically that’s the only box come to think of it.

Anyway, he’s being dubbed as the new Vardy, banged in 17 goals for a struggling La Liga side, so let’s wait and see. Everton were meant to be after him as well, but apparently, the deal is all but done, so he could become a Gunner very soon it seems.

The Mustafi deal rumbles on, around the news last night that there has still been no official bid, plus the player is staying according to the Valencia manager, so who knows. There’s talk of Calum Chambers going out on loan somewhere very soon, so as usual pretty vague across the board but something has to start happening soon surely?

We will play Forest away in the newly dubbed EFL Trophy. This is the old league cup, and the cup where we got spanked by Sheffield Weds, and The Ox and Theo both got injured, so let’s face it, this game can’t be any worse than that, can it?
