Defender Agrees Terms – Deal Confirmed

This just in, we’ve finally got a fact about a transfer, an actual fact! An actual quote! Woohoo!

Shkodran Mustafi, the German International footballer who plays for Germany, and is German is about to join Arsenal, his agent has confirmed.

Mustafi has been rumoured to have been joining Arsenal from since before time began, is to leave Valencia and replace his German team mate, and injured BFG Per Mertesacker at centre back. It’s not known whether or not Arsene Wenger would have delved into the market for a centre back without the injury to Per, and to Gabriel, but it’s clear that we are finally in the market to shore up the heart of the defence.

Sounds like the deal isn’t quite done, and as a result it’s not clear as yet if he will be able to play in our first game against Liverpool on Sunday. AW will probably let us know tomorrow if his medical is done and he’s registered in time.

There’s a lot of other admin to be done, he needs to have the fire safety tour of the stadium, he needs a photo done for his name badge, and obviously he will need to get his induction pack. It’s also thought he’ll be allowed to start half an hour later than everyone else on his first day.

There’s absolutely nothing which can go wrong now, and everything is ready to go, his agent, Ali Bulut said:

“Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee…”

Oh. Could take a while.
