Arsenal close in 5th signing, agent expected to arrive in London to discuss possible £54m deal
Despite a seemingly endless stream of transfer stories and rumours, Arsene Wenger is still said to be looking bring in the centre back and striker we so richly need.
Along with the supposed interest in Mustafi, Mahrez and Lacazette, another rumour which doesn’t seem to want to die down, is that of the interest in Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Argentine international striker’s striker agent and wife is thought to be arriving in London this week for talks over a possible move to The Emirates in a deal worth around £54m.
The 23-year-old striker has been in discussion with Milan over a new contract, but according to TeamTalk, Wanda Nara, is expected in London any day for talks. It seems the meeting was postponed earlier this week but Nara is now expected today or tomorrow for talks about a possible move.
It’s thought that Napoli are also showing a keen interest and are ready to make an offer for the player and as time ticks by as the season approaches, Arsene Wenger is under increasing pressure to bolster our attacking ranks so watch this space.
