Chelsea and Barcelona target agrees to join Arsenal, after talking with Wenger

Arsenal have been linked with Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez over the summer and a report from The Mirror claims the Algerian international striker has finally agreed to join Arsenal.

The report in The Mirror, which originates from Algeria, claims a deal has already been reached between the North London club and the 25-year-old, and he’s all set to leave the King Power Stadium to join Arsene Wenger at The Emirates. It is believed that the Algerian international has finally made his decision after he held talks face-to-face with Le Boss recently.

They also report that the Premier League champions are yet to agree to sell Mahrez and are about to offer him a deal worth £100,000 a week to stay and snub the Gunners’ offer. The winger has three years left on his contract which gives Leicester the opportunity to negotiation for a better deal to retain his services as they did with Jamie Vardy back in June .

Premier League rivals Chelsea and La Liga giants Barcelona are also said to be showing an interest in his signature, but we are said to be in pole position to land him following his meeting with Wenger.

Mahrez was named the PFA Player of the Year after winning the league with Leicester, and scoring 17 goals in just 37 appearances for the Foxes last season.
