Monday Round Up and Transfer Latest

Chivas Guadalajara 1-3 The Arsenal…

A goal for new boy Rob Holding, one for the renaissance which is The Ox, and the now standard goal for Chuba Akpom saw us run out 3-1 winners in California yesterday/this morning/tonight/Sunday/Monday*

*delete as appropriate for your time-zone.

I have to admit, too much red wine meant I didn’t manage to get up/stay up for this one, but I’ve watched the goals this morning, and it looked like we looked pretty decent again.

We were sporting our new Chelsea kit, which I hated when I first saw it, but it’s growing on me now, like that red-wine fuelled wart on my hungover, face.

Transfer Latest…

Things are quiet this morning, probably as all our squad and management team are in bed in America, but the word on the street is that we are to improve our bid for Lacazette. Mahrez is coming to Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger’s grin whilst he said ‘no comment’.

The final piece of the puzzle would obviously be the centre back replacement for Per Mertesacker, and this looks like it will be the German, Mustafi from Valencia.

Our next game is a trip to Norway to play Viking FK, which isn’t until Friday (at a proper time), so Wenger, Law and Gazidis, everyone’s favourite law firm, now have 5 days to get over their jet lag and get some proper work done.

As I said, all quiet for now. You’ll be the first to know, when we know, which we’re hoping will be very soon, but probably won’t.
