Deal close: Offer accepted, deal set to be completed tomorrow – report

Wojciech Szczesny has found it difficult to find his way into the Gunners squad after he lost his place to David Ospina at the Emirates Stadium following a string of mistakes and off-field misjudgements which frustrated his manager Arsene Wenger.

In light of those shenanigans, the Polish keeper found himself frustrated and moved to AS Roma on a long term loan, but the deal is about to expire and it seems the Italian club is now ready to renew Szczesny’s contract for at least another season despite having bought Brazilian keeper Alisson over the past few days.

Arsenal Close in on Missing Out on Mahrez!

The Daily Star claims the North Londoners have accepted the Serie A giant’s latest offer for Szczesny with an option to buy for around £12.5m (€15m) at the end of the season.

It’s thought we have accepted the offer for the Polish keeper worth £800,000 (€1m) for the season, with both clubs paying half each of his £2.5m salary. There doesn’t seem to be much sense in Wenger keeping Szczesny assuming Ospina doesn’t leave, and lastly and definitely not leastly, we also have Petr Cech as first choice.

No one knows how much truth is behind this report so we will have to wait and see what happens this week, but the news outlet further reported that a deal is to be wrapped up tomorrow.
