Argentinian striker is now considering Emirates move – this will delight fans
According to a report from Italy via The Metro, Argentine international striker Gonzalo Higuain is ready to accept a move to the Emirates Stadium in this summer transfer window.
Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, sent an invitation to the North London club to make an offer for the highly rated Argentine and the striker looks increasingly likely to join Arsenal in the coming weeks.
Italian news outlet, Gazzetta dello Sport again, via The Metro claims the 29-year-old ace will seriously consider the move now, with his father Jorge and brother Nicolas both in charge of the deal
It was further reported that the Argentinian does not see himself joining Juventus, after Napoli have now reportedly refused to sell to a Serie A rival this summer but now it’s also claimed that PSG are now also interested in signing Higuain this summer.
With the Arsenal fans baying for an elite striker, the price tag could still be an obstacle, especially given his age, and Arsene Wenger is known for his conservative handling of the Arsenal cheque book.
Higuain had a great season with Napoli last season, hitting the back of the net 36 times in just 35 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.
Personally, I think signing Higuain will be a great signing for the Gunners and with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla pulling the strings, this signing could really mean Arsenal could be realistic title challengers next season.
