ArsenalShorts Tuesday Round Up…

Lacazette Bid Turned Down…

Lyon took the unusual step of announcing on their official Twitter feed that we’d lodged a 35m Euro bid for striker, Alexandre Lacazette.

They also refuted rumours that we’d bid 48m Euro, Lyon’s owner slating the media outlet who reported the inflated figure for not researching the story, and basically making things up.

We all know how AW hates bids and business being made public, so whether or not he bothers with a higher bid is yet to be seen… (won’t).

It also looks like Higuain is also dead in the water, so AW will need to once again, turn his attention elsewhere, anyone have Emile Heskey’s number?

Poor Per…
As mentioned yesterday, Per Mertesacker will miss the US Tour with a knee injury.

There were rumours knocking about late yesterday that he could be out for around FIVE months, still unconfirmed but its looking increasingly likely like we’re going to be very short at the back for the season opener against Liverpool…

New Kid on the Blog…
Arsenal Blogger is a blog specifically writing open letters to Arsene Wenger. It is written by Rayed Mamun, a die-hard Gooner from all the way in Sydney, Australia.

Fekir, Wright and Debuchy…

There’s no plans to sign Fekir or anyone called something something Wright as far as I know, but it looks like Mathieu Debuchy could be off to Bordeaux on a permanent basis.

The Frenchman looks less and less like a permanent fixture at The Emirates than Arsene Wengers statue of the Lyon Social Media Manager that he keeps on his desk…
