Watford Preview…

After getting back to winning ways in the Cup on Tuesday away at Hull, it’s back to The Emirates for the quarter final against Watford this Sunday. The game kicks off at 1:30pm, live on BT Sport, and a win would see us in the semi-final draw and back at Wembley.

With Watford boosted by a good performance against Leicester last week where they were unlucky not to grab a point they’ll be keen to get a result, if you think you can predict what will happen on Sunday, make your football predictions at thatsagoal.com this weekend.

Surely, if we can get through, we can start dreaming about winning a third FA Cup in a row, something no team in the modern era has achieved. With sides like Man United, and one of Chelsea/Everton still left in the competition, it won’t be easy.

The team news isn’t great either, Arsene Wenger revealed today that Aaron Ramsey will be out for six matches (read weeks) after limping off on Tuesday, a huge blow to an already depleted midfield.

Francis Coquelin is back after his one game suspension, and Hector Bellerin should also be back in the squad after missing the game in the week.

Defenders Gabriel and Per Mertesacker also came off injured in Hull, but should return and the Frenchman’s options could also be boosted by a timely return for Laurent Koscielny who has trained this week, but le Boss will ask for ‘advice from the medical team’ before deciding to risk him.

Wenger said in his press conference this afternoon: “Gabriel has not trained but Mertesacker has. I don’t think Gabriel has lost too much fitness but we will see. My gut feeling is that he will be available…”

We haven’t lost in the FA Cup since that dark afternoon at home back in 2013, where Blackburn knocked us out, so lets hope AW gets it right this weekend and gives the lads another boost of confidence ahead of mission impossible in Barcelona next week…
