Up for the Cup… Sanchez Almost Back… Deal Delay…
Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland
After going behind, the Arsenal big guns, without a few of our big guns, dumped Sunderland out of the FA Cup this weekend.
Goals from Giroud, Ramsey and Campbell were enough to see us through, in an action packed game ahead of tonight’s 4th round cup draw. Stay tuned to our Twitter feed to literally be the last to know who we got drawn against (Man City or Man United or Chelsea away I expect).
Debuchy to Leave…?
Aston Villa were said to be after a loan signing for out of favour Mathieu Debuchy but it now seems Roma and Bayer Leverkusen are said to be interested in signing the former Newcastle man. It’s though Debuchy wants away to boost his chances of playing in the European Championships in France this summer…
Early Liverpool Team News…
Arsene Wenger announced today, that the Liverpool game this week has come to soon for Alexis to feature after his lenghty hamstring lay off experience. He said Ozil and Flamini are ok for the game, and he hopes Sanchez will be fully fit to face Stoke RFC at the weekend. Wenger also said that Tomas Rosicky is close to full training, and David Ospina has a muscular issue and my miss out on his place on the bench.
Liverpool will be missing a host of players for the clash which could see us five points clear at the top of the league if results go our way…
Egyptian Delight…
Oh wait, Turkish, I meant Turkish.
The deal to bring Egyptian midfield maestro Mohamed Elneny to The Emirates, is taking a Pharoah time it seems due to a delay in work permit documentation. Arsene Wenger sphynx it will happen this week though, pyramid rumours that this won’t be our only signing.
AW said: “I expect movement and we are positive that this week it can happen and the situation can be sorted out. There are work permit problems and special paperwork, a visa, we hope we can finalise it this week. As long as it’s not definitely signed you have to be cautious but I’m optimistic…”
