Arsenal are currently said to be in the market for a natural winger ahead of the new season. One of the players identified is Cristian Pavon of Boca Juniors, the 22 year old has been one of the revelations at the 2018 World Cup despite his country’s poor performance. The Argentine has been gaining lot of attention since the start of the World Cup and it’s thought that he could be heading to Europe this summer.

Talksport (ever reliable) are reporting that Arsenal are willing to offer Boca Juniors £27m for the services of the highly rated winger and they claim that Spanish media outlet AS (not ArsenalShorts), had earlier reported that Arsenal were interested in signing Pavon in the winter but a final deal didn’t materialise.

If Arsenal are able to secure the signing of the 22 year old, he could be making his debut against Manchester City on the opening day of the season on August 11th, and Arsenal could revert to a 4-3-3 formation with Pavon in the starting line-up should Arsenal get their man.

A front three of Aubameyang in the middle, Lacazette on the left and Pavon on the right would make so much sense and it will bring explosive width to the club’s game and also pace from both sides of the pitch.

A possible Arsenal line with Pavon joining before the close of the transfer window could end up looking like this:
