Recently, a list of players which will be leaving the club was announced, but at the same time as this mini-clearout The Gunners are also keen to keep hold their promising young players.

However, latest reports in the media have confirmed that Arsenal have already agreed a new deal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Arsenal announced the arrival of a new manager Unai Emery few weeks ago after Sir Arsene Wenger left the club following a brilliant 22 year spell at The Emirates where he won more domestic trophies than Spurs have won in their entire history.

Anyway, the new Manager is looking at building a strong team ahead of next season which means he’s been pretty busy in the transfer market, having secured the signing of defender Stephan Lichtsteiner with a deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Dortmund expected to be announced next month.

While the deal for the Greek international defender is being finalised, The Gunners are also said to be looking at signing a defensive midfielder and a new keeper.

With the likes of Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira said to be on the club’s shortlist, let’s hope a deal is finally concluded and we have a memorable season next term to eradicate the memory of such a poor season last time out.
