Arsenal have finally announced their new Manager as Unai Emery. The former PSG Coach joined the North London club after many other candidates had been interviewed for the vacant post following Arsene Wenger’s departure.

The news came as a shock to many fans who never expected Emery to be on the shortlist of candidate to take over from Wenger and it was looking increasingly likely that Mikel Arteta would take over towards the end of last week.

The news broke on Monday that Arsenal had reached an agreement with Emery to take over at The Emirates followed by an official announcement today

Arsenal fans took to social media to express their feelings about the appointment and many were optimistic that the board went for someone who is more experienced than Arteta who has never managed a club before on his own, and will no doubt remain as Pep’s right hand man (with lovely hair).

Many fans believed that his experience while managing the likes of Sevilla and Valencia will be vital for Arsenal especially in the Europa League next season. His three consecutive Europa league triumphs with Sevilla will always be remembered as an amazing feat.

Despite this, some Arsenal fans were skeptical about his exploits at Paris Saint Germain where he was backed up with huge financial backing. Many said that if he could not do well with limitless budget at a club like PSG, how will he be able to manage a club like Arsenal with a relatively small budget?

Everyone is only speculating about which version of the 46-year-old is going to show up at Arsenal, the fans can only hope for the best and support their new Manager ahead of what promises to be an exciting time at the club following Wenger’s departure.
