Following Alexandre Lacazette’s move to Arsenal from Lyon, a player has stepped up his game to make up for the departure and Nabil Fekir is that player for Lyon.

The 24 year old midfielder has been in outstanding form since the start of Ligue 1 this season and he already has 11 goals and 4 assists to his name for Lyon.

This has prompted Arsene Wenger to make a firm enquiry about the attacking midfielder and according to Spanish newspaper reports while Barcelona are also said to be monitoring the situation.

The Metro report that Arsene Wenger sees Fekir as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez come the end of the season when the Chilean contract expires and he inevitably leaves for either PSG or Man City.

The chance of playing with his former teammate, Alexandre Lacazette might persuade Fekir to consider a move to the Emirates. Fekir’s Dad also said this week if he were to move, it would probably be to Arsenal and Fekir himself said he’s an admirer of both La Liga and the Premier League in an interview with L’Equipe:

“Those are the two most attractive leagues, where they love football…”
