The January transfer window is just around the corner and clubs are already highlighting potential signings to help their second half of the season plans. The international break this coming weekend also gives club sides the luxury of the chance to watch their targets play for their countries.

The Gunners are said to be interested in making new additions to the club this coming January due to the ongoing uncertainty over the futures of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Both players have less than 8 months left on their contract and it’s currently not looking like they will sign a new contract as their deals count down to expiration.

If reports in The Daily Express are to be beleived we are said to be planning an audacious move to sign Rafinha from Barcelona to replace Mesut Ozil in the playmaker role.

The 24-year-old Rafinha is currently out injured but he’s expected to be back before the January window closes but whether Wenger would be willing to take another gamble on an injury prone player remains to be seen.
