Arsenal announced this morning that Joe Willock has signed a new ‘long-term’ deal at the club.

“We would all like to congratulate Joe on his new deal, and look forward to his continued progress with the club…”

Willock has already featured this season for the first team, in the League Cup and in the Europa League and he’s also been picked by the England U19s.

He made his debut in our 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the league cup and also played against Red Star Belgrade last night as we secured our place in the last 32.

Midfielder Willock scored a late equaliser for the U23s last weekend against Chelsea at Aldershot Town – match report here.

Willock’s brother Chris spurned a new deal with Arsenal to join Portuguese giants Benfica while his other brother Matty plays for Manchester United and is currently out on loan at Utrecht in Holland.
