After a disappointing start to this season, it seems as though some of Hector Bellerin’s performances last season have resulted in a surprise link to a move to Real Madrid. The Spaniard has been on the watch list of fellow Spanish club, Barcelona for a while but it seems it’s Madrid that are most keen to take the player back to his home country.

This supposed interest from Real is coming after their first choice right back; Dani Carvajal was diagnosed with a heart problem.

Carvajal, 25, who just extended his contract till 2022 is expected to be out for a while because his heart problem is one considered to be a serious one and this made them turn to Bellerin as a replacement according to Don Balon, Bellerin being a player long admired by Real’s president, Florentino Perez.

The former La Masia player who joined Arsenal in 2011 had initially stated his intention to move away from The Emirates last summer but Wenger and the club stood firm and did not to allow him go and it’s unlikely to be a change in our situation.

With Barcelona signing Nelson Semedo, it now unlikely for the Catalan giants to come back in for Bellerin again which leaves Madrid as the main competitors for his signature.

More recent reports are stating that Dani Carvajal could be back in full training before the end of the year so a move for Bellerin may not happen just yet, but he’s definitely on Madrid’s radar.
