Christmas Eve fixture cancelled

News, NewsNow, Premier League

Our home again against Liverpool looks to have been moved by Sky but will now take place on Friday the 22nd of December instead of the widely rumoured date of Christmas Eve.

There was uproar amongst both Arsenal and Liverpool fans when Sky announced they were planning the game on this date, but it’s expected that when the latest round of TV fixtures are announced the game will be moved to three days before, with a 7:45pm KO according to a tweet earlier from a Times journalist.

With the game now kicking off in the evening on a Friday just three days before Christmas, this fixture will still cause the Liverpool fans a lot of problems.

Here are the rearranged times and dates:

  • Saturday, December 2 – 5:30pm Arsenal v Man Utd (BT Sport)
  • Sunday, December 10 – 12pm Southampton v Arsenal (BT Sport)
  • Wednesday, December 13 – 8pm West Ham v Arsenal (BT Sport)
  • Friday, December 22 – 7:45pm Arsenal v Liverpool (Sky Sports)
  • Thursday, December 28 – 8pm Crystal Palace v Arsenal (Sky Sports)

That final fixture change is particularly annoying as its my son’s birthday on Boxing Day and he fancied that one. GRRR.
