As the punches keep on raining down, another right hook to the Arsenal chin came with the news that Calum Chambers’ recovery has been put back by another two weeks.

It was thought the youngster could be returning this week following a hip injury he picked up against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup back in September and was even considered for a return for our dismal performance at Watford last weekend.

However, now The Evening Standard claim that he may not be back for a further two weeks and will miss Red Star away tomorrow, Everton away at the weekend but could be in line for a return for the Man City game (gulp!) on November 5th.

Having just signed a new deal, we were hoping Chambers may return this week to make up some of the shortfall caused by Mustafi’s six weeks out along with Laurent Koscielny’s persistent ankle injury which has meant he has been missing for some of the season, though he is expected to play at Everton this weekend but sadly we’ll have to wait for the youngsters return.

First up is a Europa League jaunt to sunny Serbia where we will face Red Star Belgrade to try and remain top of our group in Europe’s Premier Cup competition. We really need to come through that unscathed and hope Koscielny is fit for Sunday and that we can welcome back Ozil, Ramsey and Sanchez for the game to try and get back some confidence and win our first away game of the season.
