Alexis Sanchez sat out of our horror show at Watford on Saturday, and Mesut Ozil started from the bench amid continuing rumours that they are both set to leave Arsenal in January.

Alexis, more than Ozil has been suspiciously quiet on his future fuelling rumours that he will try and and complete his move away from The Emirates, with either Man City or PSG thought to be favourites to land the Chilean either in January or next summer when their contracts expire.

Despite all of the recent controversy Jeff Reine-Adelaide has admitted in The Daily Star that Sanchez is still taking the younger players under his wing behind the scenes and help them a lot:

“He’s very good and working hard. He’s a great character and we expect that. All the players like him. As a player we can all watch him and get better…”

He also said that:

“Coquelin [also helps], because he’s a French player, is always talking to me. Welbeck as well talks to me a lot…”

The Jeff could feature this week as we travel to play Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League this Thursday as we try to erase the Vicarage-Road-horror-show-late-winner-combo-nightmare (or VRHSLWCN for short).
