Arsenal German defender, Shkodran Mustafi looks likely to miss a few games due to the injury he sustained while on international duty with his national team.

Although there hasn’t been any further confirmation about the exact nature of the injury, Germany coach Joachim Loew said he thought the German would be out for a while:

“It doesn’t look good, it looks like he had torn a ligament. We’re waiting for a full diagnosis, but it looks like he will be out for a while…” as quoted by Sportreview.

Our next game is against Watford this Saturday 14th October and it is looking increasingly unlikely Mustafi will not be fit to play in the match.

Arsenal have improved from their poor early start of the season after losing two consecutive matches to Stoke and Liverpool but have now gone to win every game since. We even managed a draw at Stamford Bridge and haven’t conceded a goal in the league since the Liverpool defeat.

We are still six points adrift off of the top of the league which is led by the Manchester clubs but a good run of form in October could see us make up some ground.
