Goals from Danny Welbeck and Alexandre Lacazette got us back to winning ways after our disastrous start to the season.

After narrowly beating Leicester on the opening day of the season, and then slumping to two galling defeats at Stoke and Liverpool, we needed the players to respond today and they did just that.

Our side looked a lot more balanced without trying to shoehorn Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in (to convince him to stay – 50 glad he didn’t) and even with the exhausted Alexis Sanchez on the bench, we just had too much for Bournemouth today. After a nervy start, Kolasinac crossed for Welbeck to open the scoring after just six minutes, and Ozil, Welbz and Lacazette combined well to make it two after half an hour, the Frenchman scoring.

Aaron Ramsey assisted the third, with Danny Welbeck finishing low into the Bournemouth net to put the game out of reach.

Beleaguered Alexis Sanchez was booed by a few Arsenal fans when he came on for Danny Welbeck with 15 minutes to go, but he also was cheered by most of the Emirates faithful.

Francis Coquelin came on for Ramsey, but went off injured leaving us to see out the game with just ten men on the pitch, but it was job done and up the league we go.

We have a Champi— Europa League game this Wednes— Thursday, and then we face Chelsea away next weekend.

Lets hope this positive result gives the lads the confidence they need to go to Stamford Bridge and get something out of that game to build on today’s positive result.
