As the season draws to a close, we prepare to face Everton in our final league game of the season at The Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Well, actually we prepare to face them now, and tomorrow, and actually face them at The Emirates on Sunday.

We need to win, and hope that either Liverpool or Man City disastrously Spurs things up in their games against Middlesbrough and Watford respectively. My personal thought is that if we were relying on Spurs to drop points (2004 WHL, Lasagne-gate, Newcastle 1-1, Newcastle 5-1), we could almost count on a top 4 finish, however, this season Spurs are not in our last gasp, final day equation, and sadly I think Liverpool and City will both win easily consigning us to The Europa League and the prospect of Thursday night football.

However, one glimmer of hope remains, we always finish Top 4, and as everything else is cut and dried at the top, this is the one thing which can add to an exciting final day as in previous years.

Concerning the team news, Koscielny will have a late fitness test and/or could be rested for the game ahead of next weekend’s Cup Final, and the Ox remains out, while it looks as though Aaron Ramsey will be fine after being subbed during our win against Sunderland in midweek.
