Manager Arsene Wenger does not look to be too interested in doing any transfer business this January, but a report claims that Wenger is interested in seriously reinforcing his squad in the summer.

Arsenal are currently sat in fourth in the League table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea who top of the league and Arsene Wenger needs to reinforce his team soon if he wants to lift the title this season.

A report from an Italian media outlet claims that Arsenal are ready to finally sign Kostas Manolas next summer with Jose Mourinho also showing interest in signing the ace.

The latest report in The Sun now claims that the defender has been rated £52 million by AS Roma, which means Wenger will have to break the bank and make the ace his largest transfer deal if he wants to seal a deal for him.

Wenger has long been an admirer of the player, and been linked several times in a deal to bring him to North London in the past. As recently as last summer Arsenal were linked with signing him but Wenger moved for Shkodran Mustafi and signed the German.

I would say Kostas is one of the best defenders in Europe today so it remains to be seen if Roma would be willing to let him join Arsenal.
