Arsenal were knocked out of the EFL Cup last night, defeated 2-0 by Southampton at Emirates Stadium.

Manager Arsene Wenger made no less than ten changes from the starting line up which played against Bournemouth, and I personally think this was what caused the defeat and we really need to get back to winning ways at West Ham this weekend.

So far this season Arsenal have been pretty good on the whole, with fourth place in the Premier League and already having qualified for the Champions League, with a game to go, the cornerstone of this record being summer signing Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny doing a great defensive job.

However, we are still in the midst of a mini injury crisis, with Spanish international Santi Cazorla out, along with Hector Bellerin and Danny Welbeck as well.

Koscielny had a rest this week, not featuring in the Saints defeat, and I personally think he will be rested again for against West Ham, Wenger bringing in Gabriel in his place.

Expect Wenger to go with his normal line-up, with a 4-2-3-1 – here is my Arsenal start line-up to play West Ham:
