A report from BBC claims, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Arsenal will be offering England international Jack Wilshere a new contract at the Emirates.

So far this season the 24-year-old ace as featured in 9 league appearances for Bournemouth since he joined on a season long loan deal.

The England international is left with 18 months on his contract with Arsenal, and Sir Wenger said that he has not had any conversation with Wilshere since he Left The Emirates.

Wenger said about his contract talk when he was interviewed: “We have to plan that around the new year.”

Over the recent season, Wilshere has been facing some difficult times with injuries and as a result he only featured three times for the North London outfit in 2015-16.

Since he joined Bournemouth it’s looks as though his injury record has improved as he has started the last eight matches for The Cherries and has also been recalled by England.

“That’s exactly what he needed – to have regular football, maybe not every three days but every week at the start, that has helped him a lot to develop and come back to the level he deserves to be at.

“He gets regular football and now on the observations I get from our people who watch him, he’s getting stronger every week.

“I leave him to deal with his manager. I read the reports and when I can see highlights or watch him on television, I will watch him.”

Arsenal will be going head to head with Bournemouth tomorrow and the England international claims he wants Cherries to win.

“That is normal when you’re committed to a club,” added Wenger.

“When you sign for a club, you are committed to a project and you have to do well in that season.”
