Arsene Wenger still isn’t sure whether Alexis Sanchez is going to be fit for the United clash on Saturday lunchtime (KO 12:30).

Sanchez picked up a hamstring injury while away with his national side, and after rumours of a 4 week layoff, he bounced back, played 84 minutes and scored two goals against Uruguay. Even still, he was sulking when he was subbed during the game!

Wenger revealed via The Daily Express that Sanchez messaged him after the game saying he was ok:

“We didn’t know if he’d play or not, in the end they decided to play him. He texted us to tell us he’s in good shape after the game…”

Wenger added:

“It’s a difficult one because I’m sure he’ll come back saying he’s alright, he’s always OK, I don’t know how bad the injury was. You have to trust the medical people from Chile. After that, it is a difficult period in November because it’s the first time when some of the players have played many games…”

I personally think with so many big games coming up, that he will start Alexis on the bench and we’ll go with Oli G up front. Let’s see what Wenger decides, either way, it’s going to be a cracker of a game. Come on Arsenal!
