Chilean international attacker Alexis Sanchez who was rumored last week by the media to be out for a couple of months looks like he will start negotiating a new contract at The Emirates.

It’s thought the likes of Juventus and Manchester City are said to be on red alert as rumours circulate that his contract talks are stalling.

So far this season, he former Barcelona star’s performances has been nothing short of brilliant, with 6 goals in just 10 appearances following Olivier Giroud’s toe injury.

A report from The Mirror claims that Sanchez is after an increase in salary of around £130,000 a week, and has just a year on his current deal remaining at the end of the season.

It’s widely believed that Serie A giants Juventus and … well Manchester City would both be interested in signing the player if he fails to sign a new deal at The Emirates.

Before he secured his move to Barcelona, Juventus were showing an interest in signing him but he chose the La Liga giants ahead of Juve, and played his initial spell under Pep Guardiola at the Camp Nou. Guardiola himself, believed in Sanchez’s potential and confirmed five years ago when he brought him to Barcelona, and said as quoted by Mirror:

“He is a player who can play in three positions,”

Sanchez as been a revelation in the central role this season, a position forced upon Arsene Wenger when Olivier Giroud’s injury meant the Frenchman was no longer available, and new signing Lucas Perez has also has a stop start beginning to his Arsenal career leaving Alexis as Wenger’s current first choice.
