Arsenal and Chile international attacker Alexis Sanchez who is current on duty with his national team side Chile have given a boost concerning the rumor that was flying round the media concerning his injury.

The former Barcelona ace has did not travel with his national side for their World Cup Qualifier against Colombia tomorrow, however Chile news outlet El Mercurio claim that he’s fine and will be fine to face Uruguay next Tuesday.

As quoted by the news outlet, Sanchez himself has said:

“It is hurting a bit but I’m fine. I’ll be back for Tuesday.”

The Chilean’s performance has been nothing short of brilliant so far this season and has helped Arsenal to climb the Premier League this season, give the injuries to our out and out strikers, Lucas Perez and Olivier Giroud.

Sanchez, 27, is our top scorer and has featured in 15 matches for Arsenal so far in all competitions making Arsene Wenger’s masterstroke of moving him into the centre even more remarkable.

The news outlet further claims that results are still not back from the scan, but the results should be back soon.

“The ultrasound was performed immediately. The doctors commented that with these injuries you must wait 24 hours to determine the recovery time, because the tear evolves. If it’s nine millimetres today then it could be eleven tomorrow [Wednesday].”

Rumours originally flying around had Alexis Sanchez out for as much as four months, but happily for us Gooners, it looks like our very own Duracell bunny will be back within the week. Let’s hope for no more injuries during what feels like another Winter long interlull.
