During the recent transfer window, Arsene Wenger’s pressing priority was to sign a striker with the loss of Danny Welbeck, and the poor form of other players in that position.

We apparently bid for several big names, but our valuations were said to be too low, and other clubs blocked late moves for players such as Vardy, Draxler and Lacazette, and in the end, Wenger moved for Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.

Perez has impressed when he’s been called upon and already has two goals to his name, but with the emergence of Alexis Sanchez as Wenger’s main central striker, the Spaniard has struggled to get a starting berth.

Olivier Giroud is having the same problem, and finds himself injured and way down the pecking order with Sanchez in a rich vein of form.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror via The Sun, we are now on the hunt for another striker to bolster our attacking options even further, in the shape of Celtic striker Moussa Dembele and we have even sent scouts to watch him play recently.

The news outlet further reported Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also showing a keen interest in signing the player and moves could be made in the next transfer window.

The player is impressing every week, the French star bagged two goals in the 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League last week which would have done his price tag no harm at all.
