The ArsenalShorts Mid-Interlull, Back to School Monday Round Up

Early Southampton Team News

The Evening Standard claim today that Aaron Ramsey is all set to return to action against Southampton this weekend. They don’t mention iWobi Wan Kenobe but he was meant to be out for around the same time, so assuming he was back as well, this would leave just Dat Guy Welbz, Gabriel and Per Mertesacker on the sidelines.

Last season was a frustrating 0-0 draw at home, with Theo missing an absolute sitter which could have given us all three points.

Legends. Legends Everywhere.

On Saturday, the Arsenal foundation staged a legends game against AC Milan at The Emirates. The game has been said to have raised over £1m to help build football pitches, both here and abroad.

Plenty of laughs, thrills and spills, and most importantly Arsenal won 4-2. Kanu scored a hat trick and Freddie Ljungberg scored the other one, with standout performances from Marc Overmars and Robert Pires, as you’d expect.

Wenger Tried to Sign Perez in January…
Reports floating around today that Lucas Perez was banned from joining Arsenal earlier due to the regulations that a player can only play for two teams per season.

He’d left PAOK to join Coruna, so the move was vetoed, and this is why it’s thought Arsene Wenger turned his attention to Jamie Vardy…

As you can imagine, post-transfer window, and mid-interlull things are pretty quiet, so perhaps more tomorrow reader(s)…
